Job Description
The HR Generalist will support and develop HR functions across the EMEA region, providing guidance on employee relations, managing benefits and payroll, ensuring policy compliance, and driving HR initiatives in a global, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR guidance to team members and managers on performance and behavior expectations
- Partner with line managers to advise on employee relations, policies, and procedures
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, benefits administration, and departures
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes, joiners, and leavers
- Manage and develop benefit programs across EMEA regions
- Liaise with finance team on payroll, projects, and inquiries
- Lead and develop the HR system, acting as a system expert and advocate
- Produce data-driven reports to support HR initiatives
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives through internal resource groups
- Create, update, and maintain global HR policies with local application
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
Requirements
- Provide HR guidance to team members and managers, setting high expectations of behaviour and performance.
- Partner with line managers to provide employee relations advice on global policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing employee changes, joiners and leavers.
- Manage and drive benefit programs spanning EMEA locations including UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Spain.
- Liaise with the finance team on monthly payroll, projects, and enquiries.
- Support the full life-cycle of HR including onboarding, benefit administration, and departure.
- Apply critical thinking to automate and reduce administrative tasks.
- Take a lead role in the management, continued development, and integration of the HR system, acting as a system expert and advocate for the global HR team.
- Produce data-driven reports to inform and influence HR initiatives.
- Lead and participate in projects where the impact of work can be observed.
- Support internal resource groups to drive initiatives such as diversity and inclusion.
- Create, update, and maintain corporate policies with a global perspective and local application.
- Ensure consistency in the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Possess an exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
- Hold relevant professional qualification and certifications in HR.
- Have excellent practical insights into German, UK, and/or French HR practices and employment laws, with knowledge of other EMEA laws and practices being beneficial.
- Be self-directed, organized, and a problem solver with the ability to prioritize and meet goals and deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications.
- Have a fearless and principled approach to professional interactions at every level of the business, with a commitment to confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Be willing and able to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events, including at least one trip of two full working weeks.
