Job Description
A payroll administrator role responsible for managing end-to-end global payroll and contractor payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process improvements within a distributed, remote work environment at a leading open-source software company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end global payroll and contractor payments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Process payroll contractor data in an organized and structured manner
- Maintain all payroll deadlines and complete monthly payroll tasks
- Prepare payroll reports and provide data to finance for processing
- Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and maintain payroll confidentiality
- Resolve payroll queries or escalate issues as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements for payroll systems and workflows
- Update payroll policies and develop new procedures as required
- Support finance and HR projects related to payroll
- Assist with reporting and audits related to payroll
- Manage payroll correspondence and act as a point of contact for escalated queries
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and service quality
Requirements
- Experience of working with outsourced payroll bureaus to manage the company’s end to end global payroll and contractor payments.
- Excellent communication skills to converse with external parties and internal team members of all levels.
- Strong process and planning mindset.
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems when faced with new challenges.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional planning organizational skills and being deadline oriented.
- Ability to work with different software systems, and have excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and formulas.
- Experience in a similar payroll role or working with outsourced payroll bureaus.
