Job Description
A leadership role overseeing a high-performance DevOps team focused on GitOps and infrastructure automation, working across distributed systems, cloud platforms, and open-source technologies to deliver managed services and innovative operations solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performance DevOps team in daily agile practices
- Coordinate and drive internal projects related to infrastructure and operations
- Mentor engineers to enhance their skills and team capabilities
- Implement and maintain structured engineering and operations processes
- Ensure team focuses on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Meet service level agreements for global customer deployments
- Deliver consistent, high-quality managed services in a timely manner
- Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
- Proven experience managing devops teams for SaaS or similar offerings
- Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
- Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
- Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
- Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
- Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Experience of being a Linux and operations expert
- Excellent team leadership skills capable of leading a high-performance team
- Ability to organize, coordinate and drive internal projects
- Experience representing the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
- Ability to mentor engineers to improve their skills
- Experience implementing structured engineering and operations processes
- Experience ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
- Experience working across the full stack, from bare metal to Kubernetes, including cloud and virtualization
- Experience working across the full range of infrastructure, from public cloud to private cloud and edge
- Experience working in and managing distributed teams
- Experience working in an agile software development environment
- Experience with Ubuntu system administration (nice-to-have)
