Job Description
The Events Marketing Manager at Canonical is responsible for developing and executing a long-term event strategy across EMEA and Americas, managing logistics, budgets, and effectiveness of various B2B events, while collaborating with multiple teams in a remote, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a long-term event strategy across EMEA and Americas
- Identify and prioritize events for participation based on research and team input
- Source deals to maximize event visibility and minimize costs
- Provide logistical support for global events, including occasional travel
- Plan and manage event budgets, monitoring and adjusting as needed
- Create systems to measure and improve event effectiveness over time
- Collaborate with sales, partner alliances, product marketing, design, and other teams
Requirements
- Experience in B2B events organisation including trade shows, customer events, and webinars.
- Excellent academic results, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM fields.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
- Hands-on mindset and a passion for experimentation.
- Growth mindset with enthusiasm for challenges and a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.
- Objectivity and openness to others' views while continuously building a positive team spirit.
- Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
