A Mandarin-speaking Embedded Linux Field Engineer responsible for engaging with customers, delivering projects, and providing technical expertise in embedded Linux solutions for IoT devices across various industries, with a focus on customer support, solution development, and market feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with customers during presales to gather requirements and explain technology solutions
Elaborate and propose embedded Linux solutions to prospective clients
Participate in the delivery of projects related to embedded Linux
Convey market requirements to internal stakeholders and contribute to solution development
Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor to Canonical
Requirements
Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Extensive Linux experience, with Debian or Ubuntu preferred.
Distribution Packaging experience with deb, rpm, or similar formats.
Solid embedded Linux experience using Yocto, Buildroot, or equivalent tools.
Proficiency in at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Result-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet commitments.
Personal drive to meet commitments and a quick learner with humble attitude.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences.
