Job Description

This role involves developing and executing sales strategies for embedded Linux and IoT solutions, building relationships with clients in mission-critical industries, and driving revenue growth through prospecting, account management, and technical solution selling in a global, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a territory sales plan targeting security-focused brands and manufacturers
  • Develop pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events
  • Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets
  • Manage customer relationships throughout all stages of the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with IoT Field Engineers to understand customer requirements and ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate data and forecasts within Salesforce
  • Establish relationships with key influencers and decision-makers
  • Coordinate with colleagues, support, delivery, and management teams on account strategy

Requirements

  • Experience in field sales within embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and large account wins.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute territory sales plans, including building and prioritizing a territory plan to target security-focused brands and manufacturers.
  • Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events, and to develop relationships in advance of proven interest.
  • Experience closing contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets and achieving strategic objectives.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate data and forecasts within Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Ability to establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision-makers across all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Experience working with colleagues, including support, delivery, and management, to coordinate account strategy and customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally for client engagement, industry conferences, and internationally for company events twice a year, with the capacity to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events.
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university, with an undergraduate degree in a technical subject.
  • Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation.
  • Personal projects and initiatives demonstrating a passion for technology.
  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience with Linux Debian or Ubuntu preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-national organization, demonstrating thoughtfulness and self-motivation.
  • Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up skills.
