This role involves leading and developing a remote professional services team that designs, deploys, and supports open source cloud solutions for customers, while also participating in technical presales and ensuring successful project delivery across various cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of engineers across various experience levels.
Manage team performance, career development, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
Participate in technical presales activities by providing expert advice and solutions.
Design, deploy, test, and hand over cloud solutions such as Openstack, Kubernetes, Ceph, and others to customers.
Represent the team and products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
Implement disciplined engineering processes and develop best practices.
Collaborate with other teams and leadership to align on goals and strategies.
Requirements
Lead and develop a team of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior levels, ensuring timely, high-quality results.
Experience in line management and career guidance for engineering teams.
Ability to develop engineering talent and represent the team from a technical perspective.
Active participation in technical presales to provide technical advice during the sales process.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.
Practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
Experience in technical presales activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Passion and a track record of developing and growing people.
Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers.
Organized and able to ensure the team delivers timely, high-quality results.
An exceptional academic track record from high school and, preferably, university.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, attending internal company events, external tech events, and customer meetings.
