Job Description
This role involves designing, deploying, and managing private and public cloud infrastructure solutions using open source technologies like Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud platforms, while also developing open source software and providing technical expertise to customers in a remote, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect private and public cloud infrastructure solutions using technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, and Spark
- Deploy, test, and hand over cloud solutions to support or managed services teams
- Develop open source infrastructure-as-code and Kubernetes operators using Python
- Work across the Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, and applications
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers through architecture, presentations, and training
- Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on emerging cloud and open source technologies
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering expertise
- Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.
- Practical knowledge of Linux and networking
- Intermediate to Advanced level of Python programming skills
- Demonstrated drive for continual learning
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Great organisational skills and reliable follow-up on commitments
