Job Description

The Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead at Canonical is responsible for coordinating go-to-market strategies with cloud partners, driving Ubuntu adoption, and supporting joint product development and marketing efforts to generate revenue and strengthen partnerships in the cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cloud partners to align on open-source strategies and develop joint product roadmaps
Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans
Create partner- and customer-facing materials such as reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, and white papers
Drive Ubuntu adoption within targeted alliance accounts and provide enablement training to partners
Influence cloud customers to adopt Canonical technology and build solutions using Canonical products
Support interaction between sales, marketing, and alliances teams to service customers and prospects
Forecast quarterly and yearly public cloud revenue targets

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science, technology, and/or engineering
Experience in software development and system architecture
Customer-facing experience in software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, or similar functions
Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders, including individual contributors to the C-suite, with the ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points
Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels
Disciplined and self-motivated for a remote-first workplace environment
Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally, including for internal conferences and in-person partnership activities
