Job Description
The Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead at Canonical is responsible for coordinating go-to-market strategies with cloud partners, driving joint product development, and promoting Ubuntu adoption to support revenue growth and strategic partnerships in the cloud industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cloud partners to align on open-source strategies and develop joint product roadmaps
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans
- Create partner- and customer-facing materials such as reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, and white papers
- Drive Ubuntu adoption within targeted alliance accounts and provide enablement training to partners
- Influence cloud customers to adopt Canonical technology and build solutions using Canonical products
- Support interaction between sales, marketing, and alliances teams to service customers and prospects
- Manage quarterly and yearly revenue forecasts related to public cloud initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, and/or engineering.
- Experience in software development and system architecture.
- Customer-facing experience in software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, or similar functions.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders, including individual contributors to the C-suite, with the ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points.
- Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Disciplined and self-motivated for a remote-first workplace environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally, including for internal conferences and in-person partnership activities.
