The Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead at Canonical is responsible for coordinating go-to-market strategies with cloud partners, driving joint product development, and promoting Ubuntu adoption to support revenue growth and strategic partnerships in the cloud industry.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cloud partners to align on open-source strategies and develop joint product roadmaps
Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans
Create partner- and customer-facing materials such as reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, and white papers
Drive Ubuntu adoption within targeted alliance accounts and provide enablement training to partners
Influence cloud customers to adopt Canonical technology and build solutions using Canonical products
Support interaction between sales, marketing, and alliances teams to service customers and prospects
Manage quarterly and yearly revenue forecasts related to public cloud initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, and/or engineering.
Experience in software development and system architecture.
Customer-facing experience in software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, or similar functions.
Excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders, including individual contributors to the C-suite, with the ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points.
Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels.
Disciplined and self-motivated for a remote-first workplace environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally, including for internal conferences and in-person partnership activities.
