Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and leading the implementation of scalable SaaS solutions, ensuring high-quality architecture, code standards, and team collaboration within a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure SaaS application architecture
- Lead development teams through the full software development lifecycle
- Promote and enforce best practices in software engineering, including DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring
- Oversee modernization, maintenance, and migration of legacy applications
- Ensure compliance with SOC2 controls and embed secure development practices
- Maintain high code quality through peer reviews and clean coding standards
- Coordinate across teams for seamless application integration and deployment
- Contribute to architectural design and implement key initiatives for SaaS systems
- Assess and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of qualifying experience in software engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in SaaS application development.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, design, build, and integrate frontend user interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, cloud computing, APIs, deprecating services, and DevOps practices such as CI CD and source control Git.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining SOC2 type2 certification in SaaS products is preferred.
- Working knowledge of VB.NET along with proficiency in multiple programming languages is highly preferred, especially C , React, Node.js, Python, and TypeScript.
- Experience leading hybrid onshore and offshore software engineering teams is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and secure application architecture under the guidance of the Director of Software Engineering.
- Ability to lead a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle from design and development to deployment and ongoing support of SaaS products.
- Ability to drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering within the team, focusing on DevOps competencies including CI CD, monitoring and observability, performance, and automated testing.
- Experience with overseeing modernization efforts, including maintenance and migration of legacy applications with minimal disruption to existing customers.
- Ability to ensure compliance with SOC2 controls by embedding evidence collection, access management, and secure development processes into daily workflows.
- Ability to set high standards for code quality by modeling clean, maintainable coding practices and guiding peer reviews.
- Experience assisting in the architectural design of SaaS software systems and implementing key architectural initiatives as directed.
- Ability to continuously assess and improve system performance ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability, and to drive root cause analysis for production issues.
