Job Description
This position involves leading electrical engineering projects for building construction, including design, project management, technical leadership, and site supervision, primarily in educational, healthcare, and commercial sectors, with a focus on delivering high-quality, code-compliant electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction
- Develop project designs, goals, and systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members
- Lead or participate in project planning, meetings, and coordination
- Serve as project manager or engineering leader, managing project scope and goals
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems
- Prepare construction documents such as drawings and specifications
- Specify electrical equipment and guide team in execution of drawings
- Conduct quality control reviews and serve as an independent reviewer
- Manage project construction administration, including site visits and observing construction progress
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electrical engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering in the United States.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer of engineering documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.
