The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for providing analytical, financial, and management support for large, multi-office projects, including data analysis, budgeting, reporting, contract management, and team collaboration to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and report on monthly project revenue, performance, and projection variances
Develop profitability forecasts, review staffing and schedules, and oversee project invoicing and collections
Review contracts and invoices for accuracy, assist in managing workload, and produce project status reports
Facilitate development and management of work plans, budgets, and schedules with project leadership
Maintain financial records, track project costs, and ensure contractual compliance
Develop and maintain client relationships, prepare complex reports and data visualizations, and coordinate project information
Collaborate with project team members, monitor work progress, and support process improvements
Understand contractual obligations, assist in drafting and approving contracts, and perform schedule and risk analyses
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years related experience required in project control activities, including progress tracking, data analysis, reporting, managing complex spreadsheets, and consolidating data from multiple sources.
Minimum Associate's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
Proficiency in MS Office tools including MS Project.
Experience with Procore or Primavera 6 is preferred.
Strong familiarity with PowerBI.
Deltek Vision experience is preferred.
MS Scheduling applications knowledge is preferred but not required.
