Job Description

This role is a Project Architect responsible for leading the technical development, documentation, coordination, and construction administration of large-scale healthcare projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical aspects and content for a large healthcare facility project.
  • Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure integrated deliverables and compliance.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, work plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve project-related issues and risks.
  • Guide and support Project Architects in quality management and documentation strategies.
  • Translate design intent into technical documentation and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into the project.
  • Ensure documentation and construction phases meet contractual and code compliance.
  • Coordinate all disciplines to align with architectural design intent during construction administration.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
  • Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
  • Previous experience on large, complex projects required.
  • Previous experience on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality.
  • Must possess business acumen.
  • Must have strong client leadership skills.
  • Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
  • Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
  • Travel required.
