Job Description
This role is a Project Architect responsible for leading the technical development, documentation, coordination, and construction administration of large-scale healthcare projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical aspects and content for a large healthcare facility project.
- Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure integrated deliverables and compliance.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, work plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve project-related issues and risks.
- Guide and support Project Architects in quality management and documentation strategies.
- Translate design intent into technical documentation and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into the project.
- Ensure documentation and construction phases meet contractual and code compliance.
- Coordinate all disciplines to align with architectural design intent during construction administration.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
- At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
- Previous experience on large, complex projects required.
- Previous experience on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Demonstrated focus on quality.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must have strong client leadership skills.
- Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
- Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
- Travel required.
