Job Description
This position involves supporting the design and modeling of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems within a multidisciplinary engineering team, including tasks such as drafting, site visits, and assisting with project coordination under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform uncomplicated designs of piping, controls, and equipment selection for Plumbing Fire Protection systems under supervision
- Assist with HVAC system designs as needed
- Model construction drawings of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems using Revit BIM from schematic design to construction phases
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required by hire date
- Knowledge and ability to apply principles and theories of advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and advanced fluid dynamics in the design of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems
- Related student internship work experience preferred
- EIT (Engineer in Training) or LEED accreditation preferred
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects
