This position involves supporting the design and modeling of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems within a multidisciplinary engineering team, including tasks such as drafting, site visits, and assisting with project coordination under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Perform uncomplicated designs of piping, controls, and equipment selection for Plumbing Fire Protection systems under supervision
Assist with HVAC system designs as needed
Model construction drawings of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems using Revit BIM from schematic design to construction phases
Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required by hire date
Knowledge and ability to apply principles and theories of advanced heat transfer, solar energy, and advanced fluid dynamics in the design of plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems
Related student internship work experience preferred
EIT (Engineer in Training) or LEED accreditation preferred
Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects
