This role involves designing and managing plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems for various construction projects, including new builds and renovations, while coordinating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design and direct plumbing and fire protection systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
Assist with HVAC system design as needed.
Supervise or provide project management within the mechanical discipline, monitoring progress and budgets.
Create Revit BIM models of construction drawings for plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems.
Edit specifications for existing or new projects.
Research technical issues and respond to emergent project needs.
Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
Participate in construction meetings and coordinate work activities with project team members.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s in Engineering required
Minimum of 6 years of related experience required
Experience on international projects is preferred
LEED accreditation preferred
Must possess a working knowledge and experience in mechanical design, while still acquiring higher level knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus required
