This role involves designing plumbing and fire protection systems for various building projects, preparing calculations and drawings, reviewing specifications, and collaborating with clients and project teams, with opportunities for leadership and site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Design plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects independently for smaller projects
Prepare calculations and production drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems
Specify plumbing and fire protection equipment such as sprinklers, sewerage, and medical gas systems
Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents
Interface with clients and project team members during meetings and project coordination
Conduct field site visits during construction to monitor project progress
Research and respond to emergent technical issues as needed
Participate or lead value engineering sessions with the architectural and engineering team
Mentor and direct activities of less experienced staff during project execution
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor in Engineering required.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
Experience on international projects is preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs i.e. Revit required.
Willingness to perform overtime work and travel.
