A student intern role supporting HVAC system design and modeling under the supervision of a licensed engineer, involving tasks such as drafting, review, site visits, and process improvement within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems under supervision.
Support Revit BIM modeling of construction drawings for HVAC systems throughout project phases.
Review and markup shop drawing submittals for HVAC systems.
Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Requirements
Enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs, specifically Revit MEP preferred.
Ability to perform uncomplicated designs of ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems for building design under guidance of a licensed engineer.
Ability to assist in Revit BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from Schematic Design to Construction Administration phases under supervision.
Ability to review and markup shop drawing submittals with supervisory oversight.
Willingness to visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, including physical walk-through of sites.
