Job Description
This internship position involves assisting in the design and development of lighting and control systems under supervision, participating in project documentation, site visits, and gaining hands-on experience in lighting design within various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design lighting and controls systems under supervision
- Prepare basic construction documents and specifications for lighting and control systems
- Review and markup shop drawing submittals
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
- Enrolled in and working toward minimally a Bachelor in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in computer applications for design programs such as Revit MEP, AGI, ElumTools, or ComCheck is preferred.
