This intermediate-level interior design position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and oversee interior design projects for a large healthcare facility, including planning, design development, client interaction, and construction administration, primarily within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of project goals through all phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Evaluate client needs, analyze design objectives, and document spatial requirements.
Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout all project phases.
Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with other disciplines.
Develop interior space designs, including floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
Select materials and consult with vendors.
Produce drawings that meet project time, budget, and quality constraints.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and follow-through of work plans.
Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, review of submittals, and punch list completion.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Must be design focused.
Must be an independent thinker.
Must be analytical.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Travel as required.
Professional business attire is required for client meetings, including suits, ties, collared dress shirts, dresses, and skirts.
