Assist in designing electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, communication, and fire alarm systems under supervision, while preparing technical documentation and supporting construction projects across various sectors like education, healthcare, and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Design lighting, power distribution, communication, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems under supervision
Prepare technical design documentation
Review and markup shop drawing submittals
Produce quality drawings based on instructions and red lines
Recommend improvements for process, quality, and coordination
Visit job sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required by hire date
Related student internship work experience preferred
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred
Must have strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar applications preferred
Ability to visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, which may require physical walk-through of site
