A Mechanical Engineer responsible for field evaluations, analysis, design, and troubleshooting of equipment and piping systems in industrial facilities, supporting maintenance and infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in field evaluations of in-service equipment and piping to identify failure causes
Perform calculations, develop repair drawings, and prepare repair/replacement recommendations
Provide technical support for field execution and construction activities
Interface with clients and construction teams, attend meetings, and produce written reports
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 3 years of relevant experience
E.I.T. licensure (preferred)
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 (required) and ASME VIII Div I (preferred)
Knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred)
Must possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights
Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms and scaffolding using appropriate fall protection
Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing the appropriate PPE
Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces
Must meet all client-specific site requirements prior to deployment, including adherence to safety policies such as drug testing and facial hair policies
