Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer responsible for field evaluations, analysis, design, and troubleshooting of equipment and piping systems in industrial facilities, supporting maintenance and infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in field evaluations of in-service equipment and piping to identify failure causes
- Perform calculations, develop repair drawings, and prepare repair/replacement recommendations
- Provide technical support for field execution and construction activities
- Interface with clients and construction teams, attend meetings, and produce written reports
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year and maximum of 3 years of relevant experience
- E.I.T. licensure (preferred)
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 (required) and ASME VIII Div I (preferred)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred)
- Must possess physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms and scaffolding using appropriate fall protection
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing the appropriate PPE
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces
- Must meet all client-specific site requirements prior to deployment, including adherence to safety policies such as drug testing and facial hair policies
