Job Description

This role involves driving sales and managing client relationships for energy efficiency retrofit projects in the clean energy sector, from initial contact through contract signing, with a focus on meeting revenue targets and supporting project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for energy efficiency retrofit applications in Lighting, Motors Drives, and HVAC.
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline from initial client contact to contract signing.
  • Coordinate handoff of signed contracts to the operational team for project execution.
  • Update and maintain all client activity and opportunity data in CRM, reflecting opportunity stages and values.
  • Review sales pipeline, prospecting goals, and client activities regularly.
  • Collaborate with product support and analysts to create tailored proposals that meet client financial, operational, and sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, engineering, business administration or similar OR 4 years of experience in a sales position preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as HubSpot.
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to an entrepreneurial team.
  • Driven to focus on meeting personal business growth objectives.
  • Understanding of key building systems and the renewable energy space.
  • Personal professional interest in furthering a clean energy future.
  • A successful approach to client relationship management.
  • Ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline from initial client introduction to contract signing.
  • Ability to meet or exceed individual sales plan targets for revenue in key applications in Lighting, Motors Drives, and general HVAC in partnership with the Director of Energy Efficiency Sales.
  • Experience or ability to coordinate handoff on signed contracts with the operational team.
  • Ability to update all client-facing activity in Brightcore's CRM to reflect active opportunities by maturity stage and value.
  • Ability to review pipeline, client activities, and prospecting goals regularly.
  • Experience working with product support and analysts to tailor proposals to meet client expectations for financial, operational, and sustainability objectives.
  • Availability to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week.
  • Willingness to work up to 50% travel to project sites in the greater Northeast Region of the United States.
  • Pre-employment background check including employment verification, criminal history check, and drug screen.
  • Consent to obtain prior drug and alcohol testing records if performing safety-sensitive duties as per DOT regulations (49 CFR 40.25).

Base annual salary range of $75,000 - $95,000
Quarterly commission structure
Work schedule of a minimum of 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime
