Job Description
This role involves driving sales and managing client relationships for energy efficiency retrofit projects, focusing on solutions like lighting, HVAC, and motors, from initial contact through contract signing, to support the company's clean energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and meet or exceed sales targets in energy efficiency retrofit applications.
- Manage the sales pipeline from initial client contact to contract signing.
- Coordinate handoff of signed contracts to the operational team.
- Update and maintain all client activities and opportunities in CRM system.
- Review sales pipeline, prospecting goals, and client activities regularly.
- Collaborate with product support and analysts to develop tailored proposals for clients.
- Develop and manage client relationships to support sales objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, engineering, business administration or similar OR 4 years of experience in a sales position preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as HubSpot.
- A strong desire to learn and contribute to an entrepreneurial team.
- Driven to focus on meeting personal business growth objectives.
- Understand key building systems and renewable energy space.
- Personal professional interest in furthering a clean energy future.
- A successful approach to client relationship management.
- Ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline from initial client introduction to contract signing.
- Ability to meet or exceed individual sales plan targets for revenue in key applications in Lighting, Motors Drives, and general HVAC, in partnership with the Director of Energy Efficiency Sales.
- Ability to coordinate handoff on signed contracts with the operational team.
- Ability to update all client-facing activity in Brightcore's CRM to reflect active opportunities by maturity stage and value.
- Ability to review pipeline, client activities, and prospecting goals regularly.
- Ability to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to work project sites in the greater Northeast Region and beyond.
- Pre-employment background check including employment verification, criminal history check, and drug screen.
- Compliance with Brightcore Energy's drug and alcohol-free workplace policy, including prior drug and alcohol testing records for safety-sensitive roles as per DOT regulations if applicable.
