This position involves assisting with geothermal drilling operations, handling equipment, and performing physical labor outdoors, with opportunities for hands-on training and career growth in renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with drilling procedures on the drilling platform
Handle drill pipe and casing
Operate auxiliary equipment between projects
Mix drilling mud and grout
Assist with equipment loading, unloading, and demobilization
Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
Perform maintenance tasks and keep equipment clean and orderly
Perform inventory stock intake
Haul, lift, move, and dig materials and equipment
Follow all safety and quality regulations and instructions
Requirements
Ability to operate heavy machinery and auxiliary equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to safely lift weights of 50 pounds overhead and haul, lift, move, load, and dig materials and equipment weighing between 60-80 pounds.
Must have an active Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and be able to obtain coverage under the company automobile insurance policy; a clean driving record and certain age restrictions may apply.
Must have an OSHA 30 SST card and Flagger certification or the ability to obtain these certifications.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather elements and perform physical labor, including standing and bending for extended periods.
Ability to follow all safety and quality regulations and instructions.
Must be able to perform maintenance tasks at specified intervals and perform inventory stock intake as required.
Willingness to work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full-time status, with an expectation of an average of 40 hours per week including overtime as scheduled.
Must be willing to travel 100% within the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ), including being away from home Monday through Friday and scheduled Saturdays, with lodging and travel reimbursement provided.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position and pass pre-employment background checks, criminal history checks, and drug screens, including compliance with DOT regulations 49 CFR 40.25 for safety-sensitive duties.
Must have or be willing to develop rigging experience, mechanical skills, and welding skills (preferred but not required).
Must have an active Driver's License and be able to obtain coverage under the company’s automobile insurance policy, with a clean driving record; certain age restrictions may apply.
Must be eager to build a career in drilling and renewable energy and willing to engage in constant physical labor.
Must be able to perform duties that require standing, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
