The role involves overseeing daily geothermal drilling operations, managing teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, troubleshooting operational issues, and coordinating with various stakeholders to meet project goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily geothermal drilling activities across multiple sites
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Manage drilling crews, including training, performance, and resource allocation
Coordinate equipment procurement, maintenance, and inventory management
Troubleshoot operational issues and optimize drilling techniques
Monitor and control drilling budgets, costs, and supply chain logistics
Generate reports on drilling progress, safety incidents, and equipment usage
Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, and contractors
Ensure permits and licenses are obtained and maintained for drilling operations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
7 years of experience overseeing a drilling operation within geothermal, or the oil and gas fields required.
Oversight experience, preferably in a regional or multi-site environment required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of operational principles, processes, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
OSHA 30 certification is required, or willingness to complete training within the first 90 days of employment.
This position has supervisory responsibility.
Expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week.
Must be willing to be away from home Monday through Friday with scheduled Saturdays, with lodging provided for overnight stays.
Work site setting involves field work and site inspections.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment background check, criminal history check, and pre-employment drug screen, including compliance with DOT regulations 49 CFR 40.25.
Must be able to meet physical demands necessary to perform essential functions of the job, as it is a safety-sensitive role.
Must be willing to perform work in a work environment that may include remote, hybrid, or field-based assignments, as role-specific requirements dictate.

Compensation salary range: $175,000 - $195,000 per year with annual discretionary bonus
Work schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours; travel required within the Northeast US, Monday through Friday with scheduled Saturdays
