Job Description
This position involves assisting with geothermal drilling operations, handling equipment, and performing physical labor outdoors, with opportunities for hands-on training and career growth in renewable energy and drilling technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drilling procedures on the drilling platform
- Handle drill pipe and casing
- Operate auxiliary equipment between projects
- Mix drilling mud and grout
- Assist with equipment loading, unloading, and demobilization
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
- Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and drilling platform
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
- Perform inventory stock intake as required
- Haul, lift, move, load, and dig materials and equipment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Ability to safely lift weights of 50 pounds overhead.
- Must have an OSHA 30 SST Card, CPR, First Aid, Rigging, and Flagger certification (strongly preferred).
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain CDL.
- Ability to travel to various locations as required by the job, including being willing to be away from home Monday through Friday with scheduled Saturdays, in the greater Northeast Region of the United States (CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ).
- Must be able to obtain coverage under company automobile insurance policy and have a clean driving record (certain age restrictions may apply).
- Willingness to get hands dirty and engage in constant physical labor, including hauling, lifting, moving, loading, and digging materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
- Comfortability working outdoors in all elements.
- Ability to perform inventory stock intake as required.
- Perform maintenance tasks at specified intervals.
- Assist with drilling procedures on the drilling platform and handling drill pipe and casing.
- Assist with demobilization of equipment, loading and unloading of equipment and material, and operating auxiliary equipment between projects.
- Perform mixing of drilling mud and grout.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and material.
- Keep equipment and drilling platform clean and orderly.
- Perform physical tasks such as hauling, lifting 60-80 lbs., moving, loading, and digging materials and equipment.
- Follow all safety and quality regulations and instructions.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
- Work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week; overtime eligibility for hours over 40 per week.
- Work site setting in a field environment, with physical demands representative of those that must be met to perform essential functions of the job.
- Pre-employment background check including prior employment verification, criminal history check, and drug screen, in accordance with DOT regulations 49 CFR 40.25.
- Ability to obtain prior drug and alcohol testing records for safety-sensitive duties as required by DOT regulations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Benefits & Perks
Hourly wage range of $35.70 - $37.00 with eligibility for overtime pay
Work schedule of at least 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours
Travel required within the Northeast Region of the United States, with lodging provided for overnight stays
