This position involves overseeing and performing piping installation, assembly, and maintenance for geothermal systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality control in mechanical and geothermal piping projects.
Key Responsibilities
Install, assemble, and supervise piping systems for geothermal drilling and ground-source heat pump applications.
Lead layout, fabrication, installation, pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of geothermal loop systems.
Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications related to geothermal and mechanical piping.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, OSHA regulations, and project specifications.
Coordinate with drill crews, HVAC technicians, engineers, inspectors, and project managers.
Supervise apprentices and journeypersons, providing technical guidance and quality control.
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and system modifications as required.
Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings and inspection records.
Requirements
HS Diploma and or GED or higher
Must have an active PM-00, PM-001 or PM-002 license
Must have active OSHA 30, Confined Space Certification and HAZWOPER certification
Strong knowledge of geothermal loop systems, fusion welding or willingness to certify, and pressure testing procedures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
Demonstrated leadership and job-site supervision experience
Strong understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance
Valid driver s license and ability to travel to job sites within the Northeast Region of the USA
Work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week
100% travel required to different job sites within the Northeast
Work site setting
Physical demands include meeting safety standards necessary to perform the essential functions of the job, which is a safety sensitive position
