Job Description
This position involves managing accounting and payroll functions, including financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and overseeing certified payroll for projects, within a renewable energy company focused on energy efficiency and clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare financial statements, month-end reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries
- Manage weekly payroll for employees and ensure compliance with wage and tax regulations
- Oversee certified payroll for public works and prevailing wage projects, including submission of reports
- Conduct fringe benefit audits and reconcile fringe allocations and contributions
- Maintain accurate employee and project wage records, job descriptions, and wage determinations
- Interface with project managers and subcontractors to gather and review payroll documentation
- Monitor compliance of subcontractors with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including labor costs, fringe utilization, and project trends
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of recent experience in Accounting and Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, certified payroll, tax laws, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with TriNet, Sage Intacct, and Procore preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple team relationships and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Base annual salary range of $110,000-$125,000
