Job Description
The role involves mobilizing drilling equipment for geothermal applications at commercial job sites, performing drilling methods, and ensuring safety and organization on site. Responsibilities include operating drill rigs, installing test wells, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize drilling equipment for various applications.
- Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling methods.
- Install test wells and conduct feasibility studies.
- Ensure project safety, organization, and security of equipment and personnel.
- Operate and maintain drill rigs and equipment.
- Oversee site safety for the drilling crew.
- Understand mechanics and requirements for drill sites.
- Haul, lift, move, load, and dig materials and equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have an OSHA 30 SST card and Flagger certification strongly preferred.
- Must have an active Driver's License with the ability to obtain CDL.
- Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
- 5 years of construction and/or drilling experience either in NY, NJ, CT, or MA.
- Understand and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to haul, lift 60-80 lbs., move, load, and dig materials and equipment.
- Requires standing and bending for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to travel 90% in the Northeast and be away from home for extended periods of time.
- Must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, with an average of forty (40) hours required.
