Job Description
A Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for assessing roofing projects, preparing cost estimates, and supporting the sales process to ensure accurate and competitive bids for commercial roofing jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop accurate commercial roofing estimates
- Assess project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope of work
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate project costing
Requirements
- Experience in estimating commercial roofing projects with a clear understanding of roofing materials, costs, and labor requirements.
- Ability to accurately prepare and review detailed roofing estimates and proposals for commercial projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications related to commercial roofing projects.
- Strong knowledge of roofing industry standards, codes, and safety regulations applicable to commercial roofing projects.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project scope, costs, and timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications in roofing or construction estimating are preferred.
- Physical ability to review project sites and perform measurements as needed for accurate estimation.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
