Job Description
A Material Handler - Sorter is responsible for removing recyclable materials from debris in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, assisting customers, and ensuring safety and efficiency in processing recyclables.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove recyclable materials from debris for processing
- Interact with customers and assist with unloading materials from vehicles
- Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment under various weather conditions
- Lift and stand for the entire shift
Requirements
- Candidate must be trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking.
- Candidate must be physically capable of lifting and standing for the entire shift in all weather conditions.
- Candidate must be able to interact well with customers and assist customers with unloading material from vehicles as allowed.
- Candidate must take initiative and problem solve.
- Candidate must be a team player for a busy recycling company.
- Candidate must be able to work in a very fast-paced work environment.
- Candidate must be able to remove recyclable materials out of debris to be processed for recycling.
