Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing perception algorithms and deep learning models for online maps to support Aurora's self-driving vehicle technology, ensuring real-time accuracy and safety for autonomous driving operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on developing perception algorithms for the Aurora Driver.
- Research and develop deep learning models to enhance perception solutions in diverse scenarios.
- Develop verification and validation technologies for perception systems.
- Partner with online maps, simulation, and safety teams to ensure mapping technology readiness.
- Build infrastructure and tests to support deployment decisions for the Aurora Driver.
- Integrate, test, and deploy production-ready perception solutions into the Aurora Driver system.
Requirements
- Excellent software engineering skills in Python and/or C.
- Extensive experience in any deep learning framework, such as PyTorch.
- Extensive experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or other relevant areas of Artificial Intelligence, as evidenced by industry experience or publication record.
- Relevant industry experience prior work on self-driving vehicles, autonomy, and/or robotics projects.
- Contributions to open source projects (desirable but not mandatory).
- Strong track record in any field related to machine learning, as evidenced by top-tier publications in conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, IJCV, ICML, NeurIPS, JMLR, PAMI, RSS, IJRR, SIGGRAPH, TOG (desirable but not mandatory).

Compensation/salary range: 189,000 - 303,000 per Year
