Job Description
A Software Engineer role focused on supporting Aurora's FinOps team by developing tools and frameworks to monitor, allocate, and optimize cloud costs, primarily within AWS, to ensure scalable, cost-effective infrastructure for self-driving technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and deploying tools for monitoring and allocating cloud costs
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track spending patterns and identify anomalies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimize cloud resource usage
- Monitor and manage cloud resources, primarily within AWS
- Support the design and implementation of frameworks for cost management and allocation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational knowledge in a programming language such as Golang or Python with an eagerness to write clean and efficient code.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to navigate and understand existing codebases.
- Basic familiarity with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong interest in developing practical software solutions that contribute to cost management and efficiency.
- Good communication skills, with a focus on clearly explaining technical concepts.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range: 116,000 - 174,000 per year
