Job Description

The HR Generalist at Aurora is responsible for supporting employee relations, maintaining HRIS data, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws, all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on safety and innovation in self-driving technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for employee HR-related questions
  • Maintain accurate employee data and policies in HRIS (Workday)
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including I-9 verification and separation paperwork
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve employee issues
  • Process HR transactions such as hires, terminations, and organizational changes in HRIS
  • Audit HRIS data for accuracy, integrity, and compliance
  • Support compliance with employment laws and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Manage and update employee knowledge base articles
  • Prioritize and resolve employee support tickets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and integrity
  • Strong people skills and an ability to connect and support employees at all levels
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional partners, including IT, Workplace, Payroll, and People teams, to appropriately resolve employee issues
  • Experience processing various transactions in an HRIS, including hires, terminations, data changes, and organizational changes
  • Experience maintaining employee knowledge base articles for people topics, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Experience supporting employee onboarding processes, including I-9 verification and occasionally leading orientation sessions
  • Experience supporting employee offboarding processes, including separation paperwork
  • Regularly auditing HRIS data to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including completion of mandatory reporting such as EEO-1, ACA, and HCSO
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of HRIS systems, preferably Workday (desirable but not mandatory)

Benefits & Perks

Salary range: $92,000 - $133,500 per year
Annual bonus

Hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
