Job Description
The Software Engineer will develop real-time algorithms and production-grade software for self-driving vehicles, focusing on behavior planning, data analysis, and algorithm optimization to enhance autonomous driving safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop real-time algorithms for selecting safe and comfortable trajectories for a self-driving vehicle
- Design and implement production-grade software for the Aurora Driver
- Analyze large-scale real-world data to train and evaluate machine learning models
- Improve data pipelines supporting algorithm development
- Design metric suites and testing workflows for rapid algorithm iteration
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Robotics, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 4 years of applied industry experience programming and designing software in C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments
- Experience in designing, building, and productionizing motion planning algorithms including cost function design, optimization, sampling-based techniques, or state estimation algorithms

Salary range: 126,000 - 201,000 per year
