The Control Systems Software Engineer will design, implement, and verify motion control algorithms for Aurora's autonomous vehicle platform, ensuring safety, robustness, and performance in a complex, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and verify motion control algorithms for the Aurora Driver system
Analyze control system performance in offline and on-road environments
Verify the robustness of control systems against disturbances, failures, and environmental conditions
Requirements
Experience building production-quality C code with at least 8 years of experience working on control systems for vehicle platforms in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields.
Experience in control system design with a solid foundation in control theory.
Experience analyzing and simulating nonlinear vehicle dynamics.
Knowledge of state estimation and signal processing techniques.
Ability to develop motion control algorithms for a safety-critical system.
Ability to analyze control system performance in both offline and on-road execution environments.
Ability to verify the robustness of the control system to disturbances, failure modes, and environmental conditions.
