Job Description
The Senior Staff Software Engineer will lead the design and development of large-scale data systems for autonomous vehicle technology, focusing on multimodal sensor data, ML datasets, and infrastructure to support Aurora's self-driving products, while mentoring engineering teams and improving data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale data systems handling multimodal sensor data, simulations, and ML datasets
- Improve discoverability, throughput, and latency of offline data systems
- Create internal products and best practices to enhance efficiency, transparency, and innovation in product deployment
- Mentor and grow the engineering team with new perspectives, technologies, and designs
Requirements
- Experience designing and deploying customer-facing large-scale data management systems
- Experience with development and deployment of ML pipelines infrastructure
- Proven leadership in product development and launch
- 8 years of AWS infrastructure experience, including S3, Aurora, and SQS SNS in a production environment
- 5 years of Golang development experience
- 8 years of C/C++ development experience
- 8 years of Python development experience
- 8 years of RDBMS experience
