Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer will develop and maintain localization solutions for autonomous vehicles, focusing on high-precision vehicle positioning using sensor data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and efficiency in Aurora's self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions for vehicle and asset pose estimation
- Evaluate and test localization solutions to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to solve high-priority problems related to localization systems
Requirements
- 5 years of industry experience building software in a production environment
- Proficient in C and Python using modern best practices
- Graduate level degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering
- Deep knowledge of state estimation theory and practice, including one or more of sensor fusion, Kalman Filtering, non-linear estimation, or SLAM
- Experience in estimation and modeling with sensor data such as lidar, IMU, radar, and camera
- Deep understanding of relevant areas of mathematics, including spatial transforms, linear algebra, and probabilistic estimation
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: 162,000 - 260,000 per Year
Work environment: hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
Additional benefits: annual bonus, equity compensation
