Job Description
The role involves leading the design and development of user-facing web applications for monitoring and managing Aurora's autonomous vehicle fleet, translating complex data into actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance fleet safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-facing web applications for monitoring and managing Aurora's commercial fleet
- Own major features from technical design to launch, serving as a key contributor for complex projects
- Translate vehicle, operational, and autonomy data into actionable insights to improve fleet safety and operations
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to build impactful features
- Drive evolution of frontend systems by identifying and advocating for architectural and technological improvements
- Mentor other engineers and promote a culture of collaboration and engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building complex, user-facing web applications with modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Proven ability to own and deliver substantial features or components within a large-scale front end application, from technical design to launch.
- Experience with web communication protocols, such as gRPC, REST, and GraphQL.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A strong sense of product ownership and motivation to see features through the entire development lifecycle.
