Job Description
The Data Analyst will leverage large datasets to monitor and improve the safety performance of Aurora's autonomous driving technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop insights, metrics, and tools that support safety and commercialization goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with safety and engineering teams to develop data tools and insights for safety improvement of the Aurora Driver
- Design and implement metrics and dashboards to measure and enhance safety performance
- Work with Data Science and Analytics teams on data analysis problems across multiple vehicle and system subsystems
- Ensure adoption of data analytics best practices and suggest process improvements
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support end-to-end data analytics projects
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role.
- Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks tools.
- Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
