Job Description
This position involves leading survey teams, managing survey projects, and ensuring accurate survey data collection and review, while overseeing budgets, schedules, and client relationships within a surveying and land development firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate survey staff and project surveyors
- Review and ensure accuracy of survey work and calculations
- Prepare survey-related documents such as field work orders, legal descriptions, control sheets, and boundary surveys
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and proposals
- Maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and business development
- Mentor and train survey staff
- Ensure quality control of survey deliverables
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget
- Review completed survey plats, legal descriptions, and calculations
- Handle project billing, contract scope, and unbilled time
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying from an accredited four-year college or university
- 6-10 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Licensed Land Surveyor
