Job Description
The O G Instrument Technician supports survey work by operating and maintaining survey equipment, conducting field surveys, and ensuring data accuracy to assist project survey teams in land development and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize survey equipment, including GPS receivers and robotic instrumentation, with precision and expertise
- Conduct field surveys to collect accurate and thorough data for clients
- Perform survey instrumentation operations and ensure proper handling of collected data
- Download and manage survey data efficiently and accurately
- Maintain and operate survey instrumentation to ensure optimal functioning
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in surveying.
- Utilize a range of survey equipment, including GPS receivers, Robotic and Conventional Instrumentation, with precision and expertise.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data collection using Trimble equipment and associated software products.
- Perform assigned survey instrumentation operations, taking responsibility for collected survey data.
- Download survey data efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain and operate survey instrumentation throughout the data collection process, ensuring equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Support survey work assignments by playing a crucial role in project survey policies and guidelines.
- Support the OG Party Chief in survey tasks as part of the survey team.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a drug screen.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina for extended periods of outdoor work.
