Job Description
The O G Instrument Technician supports survey work by operating and maintaining survey equipment, conducting field surveys, and ensuring data accuracy to contribute to project success in land development and energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize survey equipment, including GPS receivers and robotic instrumentation, with precision and expertise
- Conduct field surveys to collect accurate and thorough data for clients
- Perform survey instrumentation operations and ensure proper handling of survey data
- Download and manage survey data efficiently and accurately
- Maintain and operate survey instrumentation to ensure optimal functioning
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in surveying.
- Ability to utilize a range of survey equipment, including GPS receivers, Robotic and Conventional Instrumentation, with precision and expertise.
- Proficiency in data collection using Trimble equipment and associated software products.
- Experience in conducting field surveys on behalf of clients, ensuring data accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to acquire an understanding of basic field calculations and procedures.
- Responsibility for performing assigned survey instrumentation operations and ensuring collected survey data is accurate and properly managed.
- Ability to download survey data efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain and operate survey instrumentation throughout the data collection process, ensuring equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a drug screen.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina for extended periods of outdoor work.
