Job Description
A Land Survey Crew Member supports land surveying projects by assisting with field data collection, equipment maintenance, land marking, and ensuring safety and accuracy in outdoor environments. The role involves teamwork, attention to detail, and working in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist survey crew in conducting field surveys using surveying equipment
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment
- Place survey markers, stakes, and flags to mark boundaries and reference points
- Record accurate field notes, sketches, and data for survey reports and maps
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures during surveying activities
- Assess terrain, topography, and property lines to aid data interpretation
- Collaborate with team members to complete surveying tasks efficiently
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Land Survey Crew Member is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina for extended periods of outdoor work.
