Job Description
A Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, LLC, is responsible for working on diverse land development, renewable energy, and construction projects by utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce drawings, analyze survey data, and support project workflows in a flexible and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design staff by guiding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce project drawings
- Create various project-specific drawings such as ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, and construction layouts
- Review and analyze survey data to assess existing site conditions
- Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients
- Coordinate workflow with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure project progress
Requirements
- High School Diploma is required; an Associate Degree is preferred.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software is preferred.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of ALTA surveys, topographical maps, boundaries, and construction staking.
- Ability to review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Ability to generate various project-specific drawings, including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layouts, and construction staking.
- Ability to edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely.
- Maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status to ensure the team meets chargeability goals.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments, ensuring they align with Atwell’s standards.
- Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, considering factors like legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Work in a flexible work environment with a fantastic culture and a national presence.
