Job Description
A Senior Project Manager in civil engineering leading land development projects, managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and driving business growth within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in delivering site development projects for various residential types
- Manage grading, stormwater design, permitting, and quality assurance/quality control processes
- Serve as the primary client contact to build trust, communicate effectively, and expand relationships
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and growing key accounts
- Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence within the team
Requirements
- Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
- Have at least 8 years of experience in civil engineering with stormwater land development experience.
- Possess a strong client-facing presence and relationship-building skills.
- Have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, AGTEK, and BMP design.
- Be a self-starter with the confidence to lead independently.
- Demonstrate experience in business development or account growth.
- Be able to lead a team of 6 engineers delivering site development for single-family, multifamily, and build-to-rent projects.
- Manage grading, stormwater design, permitting, and QA/QC processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, owning communication, building trust, and expanding relationships.
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Possess strong technical and leadership skills.
- Be results-driven and strategic in approach.
- Be collaborative and invested in team success.

Compensation range: $145,000 - $230,000 USD
