Job Description
A Senior Project Manager in land development responsible for leading technical project activities, ensuring quality and compliance, mentoring staff, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver successful engineering projects in residential and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and due diligence site analysis reports.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Mentor and support junior staff with technical questions related to land development projects.
- Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure project deliverables meet quality and engineering standards.
- Review and seal project documents to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Analyze survey data and site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, and easements.
- Make necessary edits and modifications to plans based on agency, municipal, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and team leaders to track workflow and meet project goals.
- Support financial objectives and contribute to project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- At least 8 years of experience in Residential and Commercial Land Development including design, project management, business development, and invoicing
- Expertise in report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and comprehensive due diligence site analysis reports
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D to review and complete assignments efficiently, adhering to high standards
- Ability to guide and support junior staff with technical queries related to Land Development projects
- Experience overseeing QA/QC processes to ensure all project deliverables meet rigorous quality and engineering standards
- Ability to review and seal project documents to ensure full compliance with engineering standards
- Experience analyzing project survey data and site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, and easement documents
- Capability to make necessary edits and modifications to plans as required by agencies, municipalities, and clients
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to track workflow status and meet chargeability goals
- Ability to support the team in achieving financial objectives and project success
