Job Description
A Survey Project Manager at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leading survey teams, managing project execution from start to finish, and ensuring the delivery of accurate site plans and construction documents for land development and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review survey data using industry software and analyze existing site conditions for development considerations.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff to ensure project completion.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and document organization.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software to complete survey assignments within standards and budgets.
- Mentor and train staff, supporting professional development and career planning.
- Apply advanced survey techniques such as boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction staking.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License PLS, PSM
- 8 plus years of survey industry related work experience
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents
