Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell, LLC oversees survey projects, manages teams, reviews survey data, and ensures the successful execution of site plans and construction documents in the land development and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry software and technology.
- Analyze existing site conditions, legal descriptions, easements, and related documents for development considerations.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff to ensure project completion.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar and wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Organize and assemble site plans, construction plans, and related documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments within standards and budgets.
- Mentor and assist with staff training, career development, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License (PLS or PSM) is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of survey industry related work experience.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents.
